TWO OBITUARIES FROM CLAY COUNTY, KANSAS
OBITUARY OF FLORENCE ALSOP
Miss Florence Alsop, died Saturday night in a Berkley hospital. Miss Alsop received her masters degree from Kansas State University and had been teaching in Berkley until her retirement several years ago. She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Pastrone, and Mrs. Lila Bengard, both of San Bruno, Calif., Mrs. Edith Noakes, Filley, Neb., and Miss Inez Alsop Manhattan. She is also survived by one brother, Malcom, Manhattan. Funeral services will be held Wednesday in the Mercer Home in Wakefield. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery. {Florence was born November 1890 Clay Co, Kansas, daughter of James Henry Alsop and Effie M. Dunn} (Manhattan, Kansas, Mercury, May 26, 1969)

OBITUARY OF AGNES MYRA ALSOP
ALSOP, MYRA
Miss Myra Alsop, 99, died Thursday at Beatrice Neb. Miss Alsop when a small girl came from England with the Wake Colony which settled in Wakefield. She taught in the Wakefield area 30 years before moving to Beatrice. Funeral services will be Monday in the Mercer Funeral Home, Wakefield and the burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery. Malcom Alsop, Manhattan is a nephew and Inez Alsop and Mrs. Edgar Siemers also of Manhattan are nieces of the late Miss Alsop.
