ALSUP, Jr. Ralph
Ralph Howard Alsup, Jr. 61, of Las Vegas, passed away Sept. 3, 2004. He was born Aug 27, 1943, in Kingman, Ariz., and resided in Las Vegas for 58 years. Ralph was a retired plumber and belonged to the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 525 for 37 years. He was also one of the original members of the Gents Motorcycle Club. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; daughters, Serena Alsup and Jeane Alsup; granddaughters, Casey and Jamie Alsup, and a cousin, James Alsup. Memorial service will be at noon Saturday, Sep 11, at Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.

Gene Brantley, 69, of Valdosta, GA. Died Thursday in Valdosta. A former Las Vegas resident, she was born Nov. 28, 1932, in Denton, Texas. She is survived by her husband Tex Brantley of Valdosta; five daughters, Donna Gilley of Tallahassee, Fla., Sheryl Boinski and Rhonda Brantley, both of Valdosta, Linda Melin of Merritt Island, Fla., and Joy Brakel of Caribou, Maine; one brother Ralph Alsup, Jr. of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and 1 great grandson. No local services are scheduled. Carson-McLane Funeral Home in Valdosta are in charge of Arrangements.

Frank H. Alsup, 72 of Las Vegas died Friday in Modesto, Calif. He was born July 13, 1929, in Pittsburg. A resident for 42 years, he was a pipefitter in the construction industry and a member of Pipefitters Local 525. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; one son James W. Alsup of Las Vegas; one brother, William Alsup of Modesto, and two grandchildren. Visitation will continue until 7 p. m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Chapel. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
